TECHNICAL SERVICES:
SOS Communications
specializes in splicing, testing, trouble shooting, and
repairing all types of fiber optic cables and networks.
We install small fiber links and have connections to install
most fiber optic cables either aerial, direct burial,
or in a duct system. We also provide technical consulting,
engineering services and fiber optic product information
and supplies. |
SPLICING:
Fusion splicing, mechanical splicing (all types), connectorization
(SC, ST, FC connectors etc.) Single mode and Multi-mode. |
TESTING:
OTDR testing, 1310/1550 nm SM/MM complete with print
outs or floppy disc pre installation reel testing (SM/MM).
Light source/power meter 850, 1310, 1550 SM/MM testing.
Trouble shooting of opens, micro bends, faulty connectors. |
REPAIRS:
Emergency restoration services, fiber cable cuts or
damages. Specializing in conversions, hot cuts and working
fiber transfers. |
FIBER OPTIC SUPPLIES:
Provide all types of fiber splice cases, trays, patch
panels, splicing cabinets, pigtails, patch cords, connectors
and specializing fiber splicing tools. |
EQUIPMENT:
4x4 mobil splicing labs, splicing trailers, combination
bucket truck/splicing lab vehicles complete with generators
etc. 40's Fujikura and Siecor M-90 fusion splicers, Tektronix
OTDR's, 3M and Laser Precision Light Sources and Power
meters. |

Cox Communications, Sprint, MCI, Teleport Comm. Group,
MFS, Brooks Fiber Network, ASCI, TCI Cable, Rea Telephone
Companies throughout Western United States, and subcontracting
